Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS I endorsement.
• Recent special education teaching experience.
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
• Ability to write & implement IEPs.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide collaborative consultation to staff on MTSS prereferral interventions.
• Support team meetings, planning times, and district/ building committees.
• Screen and evaluate students, conduct observations, and write evaluation reports.
• Re-evaluate students with disabilities as recommended by the IEP team.
• Submit records, reports, and assignments promptly and efficiently.
• Participate as an IEP team member contributing evaluation findings.
• Work with staff to achieve students' IEP goals and benchmarks.
• Maintain data on student performance and progress.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress.
