Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Puyallup, WA. You will collaborate with school staff to develop and implement IEPs, adapt curricula, and monitor student progress in a supportive, student-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 children.
• Ability to create and implement IEPs and communicate progress to families

Responsibilities

• Create and execute IEPs for students under your care.
• Communicate progress and challenges with families and staff.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit for approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled.
• Use individualized reinforcement to support learning.
• Invite family members to participate in progress.
• Create progress reports quarterly.
• Coordinate with on-site therapists on behavior and discipline.
• Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.

Education

Master's Degree/Certification in Special Education
