Job summary

HOLMDEL TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOLS seeks a Special Education Teacher to support students with educational disabilities at Village School - Elementary PreK-3. The position aligns instructional planning with IEPs and requires a valid New Jersey Handicapped certificate.

The role reports to the Principal/Director of Special Services in a ten-month assignment, with salary guidance published by the HTEA and a benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Holds valid New Jersey certificate as Teacher of the Handicapped.
• Criminal history check completed with proof of legal status in the U.S.
• Board may consider acceptable alternatives to qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in IEP development with Child Study Team and parents.
• Reviews IEPs with director of special services as required.
• Selects instructional materials aligned to each IEP goal.
• Creates and follows a scheduled instructional plan for classified students.
• Maintains records and coordinates with staff to support instruction.
