Job summary

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department at a Los Angeles facility. You will assist in supervising, preparing, and cooking menu items, and help develop daily specials while coordinating with the Executive Chef on ordering and menu evolution.

The role targets energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professionals with strong leadership and cost-control capabilities, in a fast-paced catering environment.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Catering and high-volume foodservice management experience.
• Catering experience a plus.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation and food cost controls.
• Computers: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, Internet.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures.
• Assists with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
