Amber Charter Schools seeks a SETSS Teacher (Special Education Teacher Support Services) for grades 5–8 at the Inwood campus (532 W 215th St, New York, NY 10034). You will design rigorous, data‑driven instruction, assess progress with care, and support students with disabilities, English learners, and those at academic risk to help them thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• NYS teaching certification in Special Education.
• Evidence of success advancing learning of at‑risk students.
• Familiarity with high‑quality curriculum programs.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver literacy interventions for at‑risk students.
• Implement research‑based instruction aligned to grade level documents.
• Differentiate instruction to engage learners in need of academic intervention.
• Maintain records with session notes, trackers and logs.
• Communicate with families about Title I services and student progress.
