Qualifications

• Bachelor's in education or related field required.
• Oklahoma secondary teaching certification in applicable subject(s).
• Reading Specialist or 6-12 English/Language Arts certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff and the community.

Responsibilities

• Teaches reading to pupils in a classroom following state standards.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and core subjects per district regulations.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized instruction.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences for effective use of time.
• Maintains classroom behavior standards and respectful interactions.
• Evaluates progress and communicates with parents about pupil progress.
