Job summary

Five Below is seeking a customer-facing associate in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, share product knowledge, and guide them to merchandise while suggesting options and promotions. You’ll learn the layout, assist with sales goals, and help deliver a positive shopping experience for every guest.

The role requires strong communication, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to handle transactions and customer inquiries with courtesy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, providing assistance and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: Address customer issues and offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: Inform management about merchandise restocking and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve store objectives and a positive work environment.
