Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Master's degree from an accredited institution (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan individually or cooperatively a program of study that meets students' needs.
• Assist in establishing department or grade-level curriculum objectives and evaluation plans.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for lessons.
• Employ instructional methods and materials aligned with objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide required reports.
• Diagnose learning strengths/weaknesses with district specialists when needed.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents regularly.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and maintain classroom order.
• Plan and supervise assignments for support staff and volunteers.
• Use technology in teaching and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Adhere to ethics and meet district policy requirements.
• Support school improvement initiatives and recognize signs of student distress.
• Establish testing environment and testing security.
