Responsibilities include delivering guidance curriculum, counseling individuals and groups, collaborating with parents and teachers, and coordinating resources to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in guidance counseling is required.
• Valid Texas counseling certificate or an out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position.
• Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach campus developmental guidance curriculum aligned with the district plan.
• Assist teachers in guidance-related curriculum.
• Guide students to develop education plans and career awareness.
• Coordinate opportunities to recuperate lost credits (night school, labs, virtual school).
• Work with teachers to clarify lab classes vs. traditional expectations and procedures.
• Provide documentation related to 504 and Special Education accommodations.
