Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store associate to be the primary contact for customers, help maintain plan‑o‑grams, build displays, and ensure shelves are stocked and clean.

You will unload trucks, receive merchandise, ring up sales on the IBM cash register, and assist shoppers with locating items while following safety policies.

This fast‑paced retail role requires strong teamwork, good math and cash handling, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; rotate and face products on shelves.
• Follow processes to receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, bag merchandise, and handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean store front, stockroom, and assist with sidewalk displays when required.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
