Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Illinois seeks a Staff Nurse within the Physician Group. You will provide skilled nursing care to acutely ill patients, coordinate with the health team, and support phone triage and patient education per ANA standards.

Requirements include current RN license in Illinois, CPR/BLS, and recent clinical experience or new graduate readiness. BSN preferred; second language and specialty experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current experience (within past five years) or new nursing graduate (within past two years).
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care by utilizing evidenced based practice to optimize safety and reduce errors.
• Follows six medication rights and tailors administration to patient age and condition.
• Assess, analyze, validate and plan care based on patient needs and learning.
• Educate patient and family and involve them in the plan of care.
• Participate in governance, committees and practice projects.
