Job summary

PDS Health in Vallejo, CA is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dentists in delivering high-quality care. You will assist with procedures, manage patient flow, and help educate patients about post-treatment care in a fast-paced dental setting.

The role emphasizes chair-side support, sterile techniques, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, offering opportunities to grow within a collaborative dental team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. State mandated certification/licensure or registration.
• Associate degree or 1-year certificate from an accredited college/technical school preferred.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment and addressing patient needs.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies).
