Job summary

The City of Parkland is hiring a Recreation Aide to join our Parks & Recreation team. This entry‑level position offers training opportunities and growth as you work with diverse groups in our parks and recreation facilities.

You will gain hands‑on experience in customer service, program support, and event coordination while learning CPR/First Aid, safety procedures, and RecTrac data entry. A valid driver license is required and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months related work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in customer service and communications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors participants and enforces policies at the recreation center.
• Develops schedules for the center and coordinates facility usage.
• Processes payments and balances cash drawer at shift end.
• Enters information into RecTrac system.
• Provides excellent customer service and supports event operations.
• Performs light maintenance and assists with special events.
