Job summary

Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center in Milwaukee is seeking energetic Rec-Sports Instructors to lead sports activities and create engaging, age-appropriate curricula. You will foster a safe, high-energy learning environment and support participants of all ages in developing physical, social, and cognitive skills.

The role offers flexible afternoon/evening shifts with opportunities to coach both youth and adults, a competitive salary, and access to JCC facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Recreation background required.
• Experience coaching or teaching children and/or adults in a recreation setting is highly preferred.
• American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred (or ability to complete upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging sports instruction tailored to various ages and skill levels.
• Design exciting class curriculum and track participant progress with the Recreation team.
• Identify behavioral needs, communicate with parents/participants, and share achievements with the team.
• Maintain a safe environment by following agency protocols, tracking attendance, and monitoring equipment.
• Bring positive energy and uphold the JCC's mission daily.
