Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics in Salem, OR seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across departments, upholding ALARA principles and providing compassionate patient care. You will operate X-ray and related imaging equipment, document patient histories, and collaborate with physicians to support accurate medical decisions.

You will use EPIC, Radiant Radiology, and PACS for imaging requests and documentation, ensuring quality images and safety.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program.
Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.

Responsibilities

Select appropriate radiation exposure settings based on the patient’s body type and condition.
Capture high-quality images, tailoring exams to meet the specific needs of each patient.
Document thorough and relevant patient histories, including symptoms and onset.
Provide compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine care, identify malfunctions, and report issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Utilize Radiant Radiology, EPIC, and PACS systems for imaging requests, documentation, and charge entry.
