Job summary

Quincy College is seeking an Instructor of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program to teach a range of PTA courses and participate in program assessment to meet CAPTE requirements. The role may include student advising under the supervision of the Associate Dean and PTA Program Chair.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with current PT certification, CPR, and willingness to engage in curriculum review, accreditation activities, and campus service.

Qualifications

• National Certification as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Ability to teach health science courses; college-level teaching desirable.
• Ability to use techniques/equipment used in Physical Therapist education.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Meet clinical site CORI requirements per licensing and CAPTE.
• Health requirements: two MMR doses or immunity, Hepatitis B, TD within 10 years, negative PPD or chest X-ray when required, annual flu shot.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses within the Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Assist in curriculum review and program assessment for CAPTE.
• Advise students in collaboration with program leadership.
• Maintain essential program documentation and reports.
• Participate in recruitment and service on college committees.
• Maintain office hours and attend meetings.
