Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Michigan (active)
• Current CPR certification (or within 90 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and collaborates with other health care providers.
• Documents patient care and billing information in a timely manner per department standards.
• Communicates with coworkers and other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Functions as a team member and mentors other staff.
• Delegates aspects of patient care to support staff with supervision per MI PT/PTA rules.
• Maintains clinical productivity standards.
• Maintains clinical expertise through ongoing education.
• Participates in in-services, staff meetings, and program development.
• Maintains patient safety awareness and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and HFH policies.
• Follows all applicable laws and HFH policies.
• Represents HFH at community/professional events as needed.
• Participates in student education programs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience OR CAPTE-accredited MS/PhD
