Job summary

Lyft's Marketplace team is seeking a Data Scientist to build end-to-end dynamic pricing models that set prices for rides while balancing prices and ETAs. You will work with Product and Engineering on a cross-functional team to prototype models at scale and influence roadmaps to improve rider and driver experience.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data exploration and modeling.
• Experience building ML or econometric models and interpreting results.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientists and pricing teams to formalize problems.
• Perform data analysis to identify root causes of pricing issues.
• Develop and fit statistical, ML, or optimization models.
• Write production code and ship models to production.
• Design and run simulated and live experiments.
• Analyze data and inform launch decisions.
• Communicate findings to Product, Engineering, and leadership.
