Task #1: Preventative Maintenance
- Responsible for all preventative equipment maintenance and completing preventative maintenance logs.
- Needs to be able to complete equipment checklists, read manuals and troubleshoot for repairs.
- This task varies on a day to day basis based on operational needs.
- Receives work orders from supervisor.
- Could be required to lift up to 50# occasionally.
- Primarily lift a weight of 25-50 lbs on an occasional basis per hour from floor to waist and waist to overhead.
- Can also be exposed to vibration through bilateral hands if using power tools for prolonged periods of time.
- Need to have use of bilateral upper and lower extremities and have fluid or functional ROM of the neck and trunk.
- Need to be able to climb, crawl, crouch, bend, squat, and stoop on an occasional basis throughout the day.
- Can be required to work in awkward positions for prolonged periods of time.
- The employee could be required to work off ladders or man lift and work with arms overhead for sustained periods of time.
- A variety of tools requiring fine and gross motor coordination of bilateral hands may be needed.
- Needs to be able to set up oil drums.
- Cranes-inspect all cables, moving parts, greasing, and checking oil levels.
- Responsible for machine greasing, lubricating, etc-using grease gun and oil can.
- Responsible for checking oil levels.
- Responsible for log out/tag out faulty equipment.
- Need to be able to walk on a continuous basis for tasks on even an uneven terrain on the grounds.
- Performs minor repair jobs, such as small air hoses.
- Interacts with outside vendors for parts ordering or repairs.
- Keeps area and tools clean and organized.
Requirements
Shift: 8 hour shifts, (1st and 2nd shift) but could be more based on operational needs.
Breaks: 30 minute lunch.
Flooring: Cement, wooden platforms, rubber mats.
Lighting: Adequate overhead lighting.
Environment: Foundry and machine shop environment. Need to be careful with other employees while moving overhead cranes in the vicinity.
Safety Equipment: Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
Strength Range: Medium strength range.
Tools and Equipment: All basic hand and power tools, ladders, manuals, dolly, 35 foot man lift, harness, lanyards, etc. This list is not all-inclusive.
