Job summary

TrulyHired partners with a district to fill a long-term substitute Special Education Teacher for a Preschool classroom at Sewell School. The assignment is anticipated to last about eight weeks.

Certification from the NJ Department of Education as a Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3 and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities is required. Qualifications

• Must hold a New Jersey instructional certificate with appropriate special education endorsement(s).
• Experience teaching children with disabilities and knowledge of assessment and program requirements.
• Demonstrates integrity, initiative, and ability to relate well with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Implement educational program and IEP services.
• Coordinate with regular program to meet NJSL standards.
• Maintain progress records and assist with evaluation.
• Develop and review IEPs, communicate with Child Study Team and Case Manager.
• Communicate with general education teachers when students are mainstreamed.
