Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification required in subject area taught
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret information; write reports/correspondence
• Ability to present information orally and respond to questions; apply math concepts to practical situations
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret varied instructions

Responsibilities

• Teaches district approved curriculum using varied instructional techniques
• Sets clear objectives for lessons and communicates them to students
• Participates in collaborative planning, data analysis and instruction with peers
• Ensures students demonstrate mastery through projects and assessments
• Participates in professional development aligned with state and district initiatives
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and regulations
• Takes precautions to protect students and school property
• Creates a conducive classroom environment and manages student behavior
• Develops and differentiates lesson plans to district curriculum
• Communicates with parents regularly and outside the contract day
• Performs co-curricular and extracurricular duties as assigned
• Attends required meetings and adheres to duty times
• Performs other duties as assigned
