Job summary

Spring ISD is seeking a Pre-K Teacher for the Early Learning Academy for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position supports 3- and 4-year-olds, works with CTE pathways and high school students, and collaborates with paraprofessionals and the academy director to provide an exceptional education.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas EC-6 certification, with a preference for prior Pre-K experience and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas certification EC–6.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the Education pathway teachers.
• Maintain a safe environment based on Minimum Standards from the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
• Stimulate and encourage the growth of the child physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
• Maintain open, friendly and cooperative relationships with each child’s parent.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Attend to the personal needs of each child.
• Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, responsible and an appropriate example for both the children and the high school students.
• Maintain current CPE, AED, and First Aid Certifications.
• Assist the paraprofessionals in the classrooms to ensure safety of the children and provide developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
• Supervise children and maintain classroom ratio at all times.
• Acquire 24 hours of annual trainings as dictated by licensing.
• Relate to children with courtesy, respect, acceptance and patience.
• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas certification EC–6
