Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science Education, or related field.
• Prior teaching experience in middle/high school, private/independent setting preferred.
• Experience designing and delivering hands-on experiments and using laboratory equipment.
• Experience with AP/IB courses may be a plus.
• In-depth understanding of physics/chemistry concepts.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and engagingly.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver physics and chemistry lessons for middle and high school levels.
• Use diverse teaching methods including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and experiments.
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and assessments aligned to curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive learning environment encouraging curiosity and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with faculty to refine curriculum materials to meet school goals.
• Offer office hours, study sessions, or one-on-one mentoring for students.
• Advise students on college and career pathways in science.
