Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida to support patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist. You will participate in assessments, develop and adjust plans of care, and ensure safe, quality care with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with therapists, preparing patients for discharge, and maintaining productive daily schedules. Strong communication and adherence to safety protocols are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Hands-on BLS Card.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
• Adheres to policies and procedures specific to patient rights.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment; identifies and reports hazards.
• Meets all requirements for mandatory in-service meetings and training sessions.
• Adheres to policies regarding universal precautions when delivering patient care.
• Exhibits professional conduct and supports the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Plan of Care/Treatment.
• Reviews patient’s medical record for physician orders and/or change in patient status.
• Regularly works with the therapist in developing individual patient therapy plans.
• Administers physical therapy treatment to patients as defined by the plan of care.
• Updates and adjusts treatment plan in conjunction with the Physical Therapist.
• Confer with the Physical Therapist and other health care professionals to coordinate treatment programs.
• Assists in discharge preparation and home exercise instruction.
• Manages schedule to meet productivity expectations.
• Attends staff meetings and in-services.
• Maintains accurate daily billing charges and productivity log.
• Documents progress notes and family/patient education.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
