Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in the Puget Sound region is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain physical wellbeing, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments.

This role requires strong age-appropriate skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care, with ongoing work alongside an interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program providing entry level physical therapist assistant knowledge in rehabilitation, orthopedic, and medical/surgical
• WA state licensure for Physical Therapy Assistant
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating plans of care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assess clinical signs to determine effectiveness of treatment and discharge readiness.
• Implement treatment plans including transfer and mobility training, strengthening, ROM, modalities.
• Complete documentation per hospital standards in a timely manner.
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team to promote patient-centered care.
