VCU Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver high-quality physical therapy care to diverse patient populations within our hospital system. The PTA will document care in the medical record and work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in Virginia.

Ideal candidates hold Virginia licensure or eligibility, be CPR certified if required, and have an associates degree in PTA.

Qualifications

• Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.

Responsabilités

• Deliver physical therapy care to assigned patient populations and document in the medical record.
• Instruct and supervise rehab technicians, students, and other staff; participate in rounds and discharge conferences.
• Schedule and manage patient care activities, and handle equipment ordering as needed.
• Rotate through various clinical service areas as assigned.
