Job summary

The Weston Group is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to administer treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with patient documentation and coordinate care with the PT.

Responsibilities include performing PT techniques, maintaining patient dignity, documenting progress, and communicating with physicians and the care team to ensure quality rehab services.

Qualifications

• Assists PT with implementing treatment plans.
• Maintains patient dignity and appropriate rapport during treatment.
• Documents patient progress and changes in status.
• Communicates with care team per PT instructions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates skill in selecting PT techniques and treats patients with good response.
• Maintains patient dignity and modesty during treatment.
• Follows precautions and contraindications for treatment.
• Provides accurate and timely patient records (clinical and billing).
• Communicates changes in progress and adjusts plans as needed.
• Documents equipment, home programs, and handouts.
• Notifies physicians and POA as appropriate.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Performs other duties to maintain efficient operation of department.
• Supervises Rehab Techs as directed by PT.
