Job summary

Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to help patients regain or maintain mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop plans of care, and provide a range of treatments while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and families in a patient-centered environment.

Strong communication and age-appropriate care are essential, along with California licensure and CPR/ BLS

Qualifications

• Licensed California Physical Therapist (PT) with a degree at least a bachelor’s level is required.
• Current California Physical Therapy licensure (PTL) is required.
• Recent graduates who are board-eligible may be considered for provisional appointments.
• Documentation of continuing education or experience is required for ongoing annual appraisal.

Responsibilities

• Establishes functional goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team based on the patient’s rehabilitation potential.
• Provides patient/family/Care Partner education, initiating as soon as feasible after admission and using teach-back, demonstrations, videos, or handouts.
• Establishes and follows patient precautions; observes responses to treatment and reports unusual occurrences; follows hand-off guidelines.
