Job summary

MedStar Health in the Washington, DC area seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for MHPT @ Palisades. You will provide comprehensive PT services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation and discharge planning.

You will collaborate with a diverse team, document patient progress, and support program planning while pursuing ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as deemed necessary for your location(s).
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of historical information, specific assessments, and documentation of results.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient status; consults with other professionals as needed; documents changes in condition.
• Completes discharge planning and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Maintains accurate schedule and demonstrates professional commitment to patient access and care in a flexible, empathetic environment.
• Serves as a clinical instructor and mentors staff, students, and volunteers.
