Job summary

MedStar Health in the Baltimore-Washington metro region is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join MHPT at Palisades. The ideal candidate will be licensed in MD/DC/VA and demonstrate competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, with strong evaluation and communication skills.

The Physical Therapist provides services including screening, evaluation, planning, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across settings.

Qualifications

• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).
• American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation and documents results.
• Explains findings and goals to patient and family.
• Implements treatment protocols per evaluation and patient.
• Consults with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Completes discharge planning and follow-up.
• Documents care and charges timely and accurately.
• Manages schedule and meets productivity expectations.
• Mentors students and supports staff.

Education

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy

Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
