Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain physical wellbeing, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. You will perform initial evaluations, develop plans of care, and provide direct treatments.

You will meet productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a patient-centered approach to care. Strong communication and age-appropriate skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited physical therapist program.
• CA licensure required upon hire (CA) to practice as Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - American Heart Association certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct physical therapy treatments to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and families to ensure patient-centered care.
• Meet patient care productivity standards and document progress.
• Maintain clear written communications with physicians regarding patient status.
• Assist in discharge planning and education for patients and families.
