Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to support our rehabilitation services on a varied schedule. The PTA will provide therapy under a licensed Physical Therapist, implementing plans to improve mobility and function while addressing pain and safety.

The role requires staying current with Florida PTA licensure, BLS certification, and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Remain current FL State PTA License.
• Remain current BLS Cert.
• One (1) year of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and rehabilitation documentation systems preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, treatment techniques, and rehabilitation practices.

Responsibilities

• The PTA implements treatment plans designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and document progress.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Deliver care in accordance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
