Job summary

Required: PTA program graduate, current state licensure, and BLS. Preferred: one year of PTA experience. Schedule aligns with department needs, including daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Current state Board of Physical Therapist Assistant licensure.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements the individualized plan of care as established by the physical therapist.
• Adjusts treatment interventions in response to patient feedback and data within the plan of care.
• Assists in managing the discharge plan throughout treatment.
• Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff and students per state laws and department policy.
• Completes legible, accurate documentation within policy timeframes and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates with patient and care team to promote maximum benefit using AIDET.
• Identifies educational needs and provides patient education.
• Participates in professional development and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains a safe environment and adheres to safety standards.
