Job summary

Cincinnati Public Schools’ Rising Stars Academy at Carthage in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeks a Physical Education Teacher (0.5 FTE) to provide quality instruction in a standard classroom or Montessori setting and help students reach CPS standards.

The role requires planning, safe and engaging instruction, licensure for appropriate subject and grade levels, a 191-day limited contract, and a part-time position under the CFT agreement with an immediate starting date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in elementary or secondary education is required.
• Ohio Teacher license appropriate for the subject(s) and grade levels taught is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans for and guides the learning process to help students achieve state standards.
• Must be able to verbally & physically interact with students as needed.
• Maintains a classroom atmosphere which is safe and conducive to learning.
• Establishes a professional relationship with all assigned students.
• Maintains an open line of communication with parents/guardians using district tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in elementary or secondary education

Ohio Teacher License for applicable subject and grade
