Job summary

Qualifications

• Current or temporary ND/compact RN license.
• BLS certification required within orientation.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months in department.
• TNCC course after PACU orientation.
• RN program licensure evidenced by credentials.
• Experience in critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor patients in post-anesthesia and recovery phases for stability.
• Administer medications and document care in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on surgical prep, recovery, and discharge.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives for same-day surgery.
