Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY) is seeking a Patient Care Specialist in Buffalo, NY. You will lead patient intake, education and counseling, and support health center operations while ensuring confidentiality and courteous service.

The role includes assisting clinicians, managing exam areas, processing referrals, and coordinating with PHREESIA/EHR systems. A strong customer-service mindset is essential and travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and HIPAA privacy rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients; verify demographics and insurance; check in/out in EHR.
• Record vital signs and medical history accurately in the EHR.
• Assist clinicians in exam rooms with patient support and counseling.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; manage supplies and documentation.
