Job summary

Xavier University invites qualified candidates to join our pool of adjunct faculty for the 2027-2028 academic year in the Department of Music & Theatre. This part-time, non-tenure-track pool will support undergraduate teaching across Theatre History I & II and Stagecraft, with courses offered as needs arise.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree or related field plus substantial professional experience and demonstrated college teaching ability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.
• Ability to teach one or more of the following courses: Theatre History I, Theatre History II, Stagecraft.
• Candidates should demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned course(s).
• Effective planning and preparation of lectures, discussions, and activities to support student success.
• Use Xavier’s Canvas to provide course information and maintain an electronic record of students' progress.
• Work cooperatively with department members.
