Job summary

The University of New Hampshire – Main Campus is seeking a Part-time Internship Coordinator in the Department of Social Work. The role supports students in identifying, securing, and completing high-quality internship placements in home communities, building relationships with internship sites, and guiding students through placement processes.

The successful candidate will have an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, at least two years post-MS W experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from CSWE-accredited program.
• At least two years of post-MSW professional social work experience.
• Experience in internship education, internship supervision, higher education, student advising, or related area.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple locations and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, assess, and cultivate internship sites and instructors in the geographic areas where students live.
• Guide students through internship planning, readiness, and onboarding deadlines.
• Evaluate prospective agencies and supervisors for alignment with program goals and accreditation.
• Serve as primary contact for students, agency supervisors, faculty, and internship staff.
• Coordinate internship activities including summer blocks and online placements.
• Maintain timely and accurate records in internship education databases and shared systems.
• Support students and internship instructors during the internship and escalate high-risk matters.
• Participate in internship team meetings and contribute to program evaluation and improvement.
