Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Paralegal to perform a range of law-related tasks under attorney supervision, including contract drafting, due diligence, and case management. The role supports legal operations, research statutes, and maintains organized data files to drive efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include reviewing amendments, assisting with training, and coordinating with outside counsel. The position emphasizes detail orientation, independent work, and collaboration within a diverse legal team.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent undergraduate degree.
• Experience at law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Experience with commercial/contract work.
• Ability to prioritize work and keep attorneys informed of status.
• Takes initiative and works independently or in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, LEXIS, Harvey or similar AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, draft and review contracts such as CDAs, procurement, sales, warehouse and hotel/vendor agreements.
• Prepare and review amendments, addendums, renewals, and extensions to agreements.
• Support development and rollout of legal training on LPC topics.
• Assist attorneys in projects including implementation of digital solutions for LPC.
• Research statutes, regulations, and court decisions.
• Review advertising and marketing materials for compliance.
• Screen information requests and provide routine legal information.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other materials for attorneys.
• Assist with outside counsel management and payment processes.
