Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have current or temporary PTA licensure in the applicable state where services will be performed.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Applies research and proven techniques to prevent or treat conditions by implementing the plan of care established by a physical therapist.
• Determines/revises priorities for direct/indirect patient care activities; collaborates with nursing to update safe patient handling,
• Instructs patient and caregiver in treatment programs and documents demonstrations of instructions.
• Documents all treatments in EMR per departmental policies.
• Submits accurate charges for services rendered using the billing system via the EMR.
• Oversees supervision of students and volunteers.
