Job summary

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, CT invites an experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will assist licensed OTs, develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

A graduate of an accredited OTA program with COTA certification is required, along with strong communication skills and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and independence.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the occupational therapist.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and share knowledge.
