Job summary

The OT will perform safe transfers, ensure proper body mechanics, conduct evaluations, and document progress according to policy while supporting staff and students as a clinical resource.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• OT licensure (IDFPR).
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Maintains safe body mechanics to protect patients and staff.
• Designs an individualized plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Adjusts care based on patient response and evidence.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy.
• Collaborates with patients and families throughout rehabilitation and provides education.
