Job summary

Hearst Television is seeking a Nightside Traffic Anchor/Reporter to deliver engaging traffic reports for 4 PM, 5 PM, and 6 PM newscasts and contribute to 10 PM/11 PM coverage. You will work with a photojournalist after 6 PM and report updates across digital platforms.

The role demands strong storytelling, solid live reporting, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic newsroom environment.

Qualifications

• Strong on-air presence and excellent live reporting skills.
• Experience using traffic systems preferred.
• Must be comfortable reporting breaking traffic or breaking news live from our news helicopter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare afternoon and evening traffic reports with graphics.
• Provide clear live traffic reports for 4 PM, 5 PM and 6 PM newscasts.
• Research and report up-to-the-minute traffic conditions.
• Communicate important traffic information to producers and anchors promptly.
• Ensure graphics, video and live shots are used accurately.
