Job summary

Fox Television Stations is seeking a News Producer to lead daily newscasts, coordinating with the Executive Producer and newsroom staff to craft compelling broadcasts.

Responsibilities include managing story selection, in-room control, directing crews, editing scripts, coordinating with reporters and anchors, and ensuring timely, accurate coverage in a fast-paced 24/7 news environment. Bachelor's preferred; 1 year TV market experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1 year of TV news or related experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple live tasks in a fast-paced newsroom.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production of newscasts and log video within deadlines.
• Oversee the control room in coordination with Directors and Production teams.
• Direct and train crews in studio and on field assignments.
• Collaborate with Executive Producer on script changes and air plans.
• Edit AP scripts, assign writing, and provide feedback to reporters.
• Coordinate with web/social media for online and on-air coverage.
