Job summary

WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, OH, is seeking a creative News Producer to handle the day-to-day production of our newscasts, determine content and flow, write stories, and develop material for our website, working with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and anchors.

The ideal candidate has solid news judgment, strong writing, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, plus proficiency with non-linear editing (Avid) and newsroom systems such as iNews;

Qualifications

• Must have some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station.
• Right entry-level candidate may be considered.
• A journalism degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day production of our newscasts.
• Determine content and flow; write stories and develop content for our website.
• Work with Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the newscast.
