Job summary

Sinclair Inc. is seeking a creative full-time News Photographer for its Providence operation. The role focuses on day-to-day general assignments, in-depth features, and investigative stories, with HD shooting and editing on desktop/laptop platforms.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate and strong storytelling ability. Applicants should demonstrate teamwork, a solid work ethic, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of shooting experience and knowledge of editing and photo equipment.
• Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate ENG news vehicles.
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots and natural sound packages.
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cover day-to-day general assignments as well as in-depth features and investigative stories.
• Capture compelling visuals and audio to tell stories across platforms.
• Edit footage using non-linear software to produce finished pieces.
