Job summary

Ilba seeks a News Anchor to serve as the primary presenter of news across all platforms, delivering content clearly and engagingly.

You will write and deliver stories, produce newscasts, conduct interviews, and coordinate with the team to uphold journalistic integrity and production quality.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, fluency in English, at least five years of news experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib
• Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring
• Excellent news judgment with knowledge of current events
• Ability to identify and mentor others
• Proficiency with office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Flexibility to work any shift

Responsibilities

• Present news stories for all platforms.
• Write and deliver news stories clearly and concisely.
• Produce newscasts and direct team members.
• Assist in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating news programming.
• Act as a field reporter as assigned.
• Conduct interviews with news personnel and others.
• Respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
• Promote content through public appearances and social media.
