Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent experience required.
• Fluency in English and strong written/oral communication essential.
• Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting (depending on market size).
• Superior on-air presence and newsroom versatility necessary.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record; ability to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Reports and supervises all aspects of stories for broadcast, web, and emedia platforms.
• Arranges interviews and gathers information from sources; researches background information.
• Reviews copy for accuracy, grammar, and style; adheres to editorial guidelines.
• Shoots, edits, and produces reports for multiple platforms; maintains production quality.
• Pitches stories to managers and producers; collaborates with team to set priorities.
• Engages with viewers on social media and adheres to company standards.
