Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a Multi Modality Ultrasound Tech PRN to perform quality ultrasound procedures under Radiologist supervision, in a busy acute-care environment. The role requires patient compassion, adherence to radiation safety, IV starts for contrast as needed, and accurate image assessment with clean, aseptic technique between patients.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT).
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible with ARDMS ( Must comply with ACR).
• If Registry eligible, must become registered within 2 years of graduation from accredited ultrasound program.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and adjust as necessary.
• Release the patient with proper post-procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
