Job summary

Federal Way School District 210 in Federal Way, WA is seeking middle school assistant coaches for the current season. Coaches focus on fundamental skills, academic and athletic excellence, leadership, and positive social relationships, with duties aligned to program promotion and daily practice.

Eligibility: must be at least 19 to apply for assistant positions and 21 to apply for head coaching. Position is seasonal and hired according to the current year salary schedule; compensation based on

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of sport-specific playing and/or coaching experience in a secondary and/or post-secondary athletics program and/or related club coaching experience.
Proven training and experience in the presentation of drills, safety factors, and proper application of skills.

Responsibilities

Promote sport within the school and encourage students to participate.
Hold daily practices and follow guidance from head coach and athletic leadership.
Ensure understanding of rules and eligibility requirements.
Respond to injuries by following safety procedures and reporting as required.
Attend meetings and manage equipment and facilities responsibly.
Provide program leadership and assist in developing goals and strategies for each season.
